If you ever wondered where your favorite Bang on the Door characters came from, well all is revealed here and now. Two very clever ladies called Karen and Sam met and started designing together at art college and then went on to work really hard selling their designs on t-shirts on a market stall in Camden, London. They worked from a cold studio above a butchers shop in North London and THIS is where the name Bang on the Door came from - it was so cold the girls had to wear earmuffs, and as a result put a sign on their door saying 'bang on the door' so they could hear when someone was there! You heard it here first!

And so the rest is history, the Bang on the Door characters and all their products are now loved by so many of you and you'll be proud to know that for two years running the characters were used on the Comic Relief t-shirts and modelled by celebrities such as Kate Moss and Lenny Henry. Both Karen and Sam are as passionate today about their designs as they were back then in their cold flat and will personally be bringing you new characters very soon… so watch this space!
